Special Event's at Kay Jewelers

So as everyone knows I am working at Kay Jewelers in the Berekely Mall. We have a few special events coming up in September. First we are going to start selling "Taylor" an adorable little stuffed animal. They are $12.99 and no less than $7.00 of the proceeds will be going to St. Jude's Research Hospital. We will be selling "Taylor" from the begining of September up until Christmas. If you would like to help out but have no need for a stuffed animal we are asking you to purchase "Taylor" and then donate it back to us, we will take all donated stuffed animals to the local hospital and handout to the children that are spending there Christmas in the hospital.

Our second Special Event we have coming up is our Dana Augustine Diamond Event. On September 21, 2010 we will have one of our fabulous jewelers in our store. You can come in that day and have a ring made for you. If you have a ring at home that you would like to change the diamond in or maybe a diamond at home that you would like to place into another mounting you may come in that day and do so. If you dont have anything at home you would like to bring in you may pick from our collection in our store. Dana Augustine vendor will be bringing there loose diamonds and mounting into our store that day and you may pick from them and have your own customized ring. If you are interested come in and make a appointment with me....Candace Firestone! :)

CHLOE: the newest member of our family!!!

Monday, August 2, 2010

I have been really horrible about keeping up with my blogs. This year has been pretty busy and has gone by way to fast. With in the last year we have moved from Buffalo, NY to Cambridge, MD then to Goldsboro, NC. I really wasnt sure about the move back to NC mainly because Brian had decided to get out of the Coast Guard. But once we got back it wasnt long before I realized things were going to be fine. I got a job at Kay Jewelers and soon after that Brian was accepted into Wayne Community College. If I thought we were busy before we got back to NC I was wrong because once Brian and the kids start school we will all be very busy with school and work!

This year will be Miss Emma's first year of school. She will be going to Prekindergarten this year and is super excited! :) She loves being here in NC closer to the family and she has enjoyed making new friends as well. Emma has such a sweet heart and will do anything for her brother! She is a dog lover and hates to see a animal in a bad place. We recently got her hair cut so she could donate it to locks of love. I sat her down and explained to her why we are sending it away and so atleast she knows that she is helping other little girls that are sick.

Colin is entering the second grade this year. He is so smart and does great in school. I cant believe how fast the time has gone since we had him almost seven years ago. He has such a soft heart and is definitely a Momma's Boy. Which is not a bad thing! :) He will walk up to me and tell me he loves me or that I look beautiful for no reason at all. He loves everything little boys like...G.I Joes, Sports, and playing video games with his dad.

It really has been nice to be back in North Carolina. Its great running into friends that you havent seen in years or calling and having your family come over with out waiting a day or so for them to get here. Hopefully we dont get so busy that I dont have time to update my blog every once in a while! :)

Update

This is just alittle update on how we are all doing. As everyone already knows we recently got stationed in Oxford Maryland. So far everything is going great here. We got a great deal on a nice Townhouse in Cambridge, MD. It has three levels, three bedrooms and 2 1/2 baths. It really is great. It has plenty of room for the four of us. And plenty of space for company.

Colin is loving his new school. Im still not sure how much I like the teachers and the way they do things at his school. But Im sure I will get used to it. Colin has met some friends at school and really enjoys learning. He really is doing great in school, He made the Honor Roll on his last report card. :) If he had it his way he would never miss aday. He says "I really miss school when Im not there, even on the weekends". I would have to say his best subject is Math! He can sit down to do his math homework of about 20 questions or more and be done in less than 4 minutes. He really has grown up fast. He is the best son any one could ask for! :)

Emma is getting so Big! :) I cant beieve she is already 4, where is the time going? She really is a smart and funny girl. There is never a dull moment when she is around. Shes always making jokes or just making silly faces. She is also a great actress, Ive never seen a kid that can act like shes sleeping for 20 minutes just to prank someone. Emma has been learning to write her name and learn her ABC's and numbers to 20. She has been doing really great with all of them. She is a joy to have around, Couldnt have asked for a better daughter! :)

There's really not much new going on with me. Im just here enjoying the time I get to spend with my family. It can be alittle hectic here at times, well mainly when the kids are bouncing off the walls and not listening to me, but I wouldnt trade it for anything. :)

New

Im a little new at this blogging thing, but thought it would be nice to try it out!
